Fantastic experience, Dr. Scott and the entire team were amazing. They were quick, attentive, thorough, and kind. We made an appointment online, were seen within 5 minutes of arrival, a couple of tests were run, and then evaluation and visit with Dr. Scott. We are grateful for them hearing our concerns and explaining all details necessary to us. We appreciate you all being open “after hours” and friendly. It is hard to find this level of customer service lately. So, thank you all for taking such good care of our son. We will treat this as our first after hours choice for the foreseeable future.

Love this Urgent Care office! The staff is amazing! Its always easy to get an appointment when I need one at the time that works best for me. The Receptionist is so sweet and the medical staff is caring and knowledgeable and very professional. They listen to your concerns and are compassionate. The Doctor is Well Seasoned and experienced older Gentlemen who gets down to business! He doesnt have to Guess what might be wrong with you! And doesnt try to order any unnecessary test to try to increase your bill. He knew immediately what my issue was and called my Perscription in before I left the office so it was ready at my Pharmacy right away! I wish there were more Doctors around like him who dont treat you like a number or try to rush you out to get to the next patient. He was amazing with my husband last year who is a Senior and doesnt like most Doctors. I highly recommend this location.

I was visiting family and needed medical care. My experience was very positive. After making an appointment in advance, I had less than a 1 minute wait when I arrived. Everyone was professional, friendly, and caring. I felt that I was listened to, and my medical care was resolved in a caring way.

I was standing at the desk when the nurse spoke to the front desk lady saying that she knew this was going to happen. Why are we getting all these people in here now she says. So she clearly didnt want to be disturbed with more patients. She tells me immediately after entering the room that they arent going to be able to help me and I would have to go to the emergency room. She says I have a deep clot and that they couldnt treat that here. She was very rude and argued with me about everything I said. She says, well why are you even here, in a rude voice. She wasnt listening at all but talking over me the whole time. She definitely has no business in the nursing profession. The doctor was fine on the other hand.

I came in for an injury to my face from a fall and Dr Kevin ODell and the nurse who saw me were very nice and helpful. They treated my face wounds and sent me to xrays the same day. I would definitely come here again if we have another urgent care need.

Check-in was quick and easy. I was a walk-in. They were a little busy due to 2 emergencies but even considering, they got to me fairly quickly. They communicated to me the issue and were very polite and caring. This is my second time here at this location and I will definitely return if needed.

My first visit was today. I had a health concern going in but was quickly calmed by Dr. O’Dell and staff. Very professional and caring! I highly recommend this facility for any health concerns.

Quick service, took 30 minutes from walking in to leaving. Jennifer took amazing care of us from start to finish and Scott had great bedside manner!

Came in to get stitches taken out. From the time I first entered the staff was very polite and willing to help. Service was quick waited approximately 10 mins at the most. They are way better than Concentra Urgent care in Charlotte who will have you waiting hours for something simple

Couldnt get into the va hospital but needed to be seen right away. They told me to come here and so thankful I did. Was a great experience, very fast and courteous. Didnt have to wait Ling at all and doctor was extremely friendly and knowledgeable.

Made the appointment on line for the next day at 9:15 am.When I entered the building and walked in to check in at the desk the receptionist never greeted me or asked how she could help me. So I gave her my name & appointment time. She went directly to the computer & once she found my information she instructed me to have a seat and someone would be with me shortly. Really not even hello or good morning? The wait was approximately 15 minutes. Once taken back, I was asked if I knew my weight and it was written down. Blood pressure was checked and I guess heart rate where they put the thing on the finger. List of my meds given to the nurse aid. Not long before the doctor comes in & directs me to sit on the exam table then he decides to tell me his name. In my opinion that was backwards. Don’t know if I’ll go there again as I felt like I was not welcomed or treated like anyone of value.

Can i just say My absolute favorite urgent care! I have been going here for years and have never left a review but I ended up scheduling an appointment this morning because I woke up in the middle of the night with ear pain and the service was phemonimal. Everyone knows the last thing you want to do while in pain is sit in a waiting room, answer a million questions, or have rude health care workers.. I just want to say this place is nothing of the sort. First I wasnt sure if I signed in online correctly or not so I went in and I was greated with a smile by the nice receptionist I think her name tag said Emily she helped me get signed in. I think I might have sit in the waiting room maybe 5 mins before the nurse called me back. While in the back I received amazing care by the nurses shynia and MacKenzie (I made sure to ask their names) they were both very caring and made me laugh even tho I was feeling terrible. Dr Odell was my dr today and I have seen him a few times my kids as well and he is always such a great doctor. I just wanted to say thank you to this team for making my experience fast and easy today while I was feeling horribly!

Staff and provider were kind and efficient. Despite a full lobby and an error on my employers part they still got me taken care of in a reasonable amount of time.

I was in a lot of pain and as soon as they took me back the nurse immediately took care of my pain (scratched cornea). She was a delight and very caring, the doctor was also good. The only reason its not 5 stars is the wait time, but thats the story at any urgent care.

The whole process was seamless- from booking an appointment online, completing paperwork online in advance so I only had to wait a few minutes in the clinic. The care was efficient but thorough. I appreciate everyone who had to work on a Sunday so I didn’t have to wait another day to start antibiotics and start feeling better!

I’ve been to this urgent care several times. They always are very friendly and quick to help. I drive from Belmont to this one because the service is so much better than Atrium or Caromont, where they will quickly turn you away or refer you to the ER even an hour or two from closing.

The atmosphere could use some cleaning. The smell was not pleasant. The physician was descent but the receptionist and the nurse was not friendly or welcoming or approachable at all. They both were there to just do their job. I did not feel welcomed at all.

It was a very fast friendly experience I was there maybe 30 minutes a nurse destine and Dr Scott took great care of me. I hope I don’t have to come back but if I do I hope I have nurse destine and Dr Scott to take care of me again

The entire staff is thoughtful and effective. Dr. Chan helped me with a terrible pulled muscle and he’s very handsome lol. For a mom that helps!! Ha. I do suggest NextCare as every-time I’ve been- they’re knowledgeable and helpful

I needed a physical examination for a scuba diving class and I needed it done promptly so I could dive this weekend. My regular doctor could not do it until 6/6/24 but my class was 6/1 so I would have to miss the class. I walked in to NextCare on Robinhood Rd in Gastonia on 5/30 and had the physical done within an hour of my arrival. The staff at this facility were very professional and all business. Now I get to attend my class as scheduled. These days customer service is terrible anywhere you go but not at NextCare! They are the new standard for me. Thank you for your professionalism.

I took my daughter in for her sore throat and cough. The facility was clean, everyone at the front desk was polite and helpful, and we were in and out with needed medicine in 35 minutes. So good to know there’s a great place when you need it most.

The staff was awesome. Did not wait to long. The doctor was quick but thorough. I have made them my go to when in need.

I went there because I was having a hard time breathing and my heart rate was high great bp and O2 level too.but the nurse said they was going to do EKG and the doctor comes in and they didnt do Labs or do a chest x-ray looked in the throat and my ears which my ears were draining and he said they were fine today their infected like I said. The doctor just proceeded to tell me that smoking is the whole problem that doesnt give her right not to treat me for my ears or any other element that I have which is what I feel like happened like they made up their own play God will not cause me seriously having a blood clot in my boxy because I have peripheral neuropathy as well in tachycardia and kidney stones,COPD he came in and pretty much evaluated me from previous notes from other physicians. The only thing he continues give me advice on quitting smoking because I have dirty oxygen doesnt tell me how to clean the lungs out. Of course Im changing primary tomorrow

The doctor could NOT have cared less about me. He asked questions about my symptoms & before I could answer, he was saying “uh-huh.” Obviously wasn’t listening!They weren’t busy either so the excuse of being busy would not apply, nor would any excuse be acceptable for treating someone like you don’t care about how they’re feeling. Worst care I’ve ever had!!!

Had a great experience with the Doctor and his assistant the morning of my visit. They were very kind and personable with me in a stressful situation.

First time visiting this location. The services that were provided to my son were beyond expectations. 10/10 definitely recommend!!!! They’re also the cheapest in town for sports physicals too!!!!! Thank you all for the amazing visit!!!!

Yesterday I woke up with UTI symptoms but had to go to work. They were open on the 4th of July and I was easily able to make an appointment online the day before. It was quick and simple.

My daughter was seen quickly. Her strep test was performed and read straight away. Since it was positive an appropriate antibiotic was prescribed. The convenience made dealing with a sick child much easier than it could have been. She was showing improvement by the next day.

I was visiting from New Jersey and needed to go to NextCare. The staff was super! Very good doctor!! I made a point of letting the nurse know how much I appreciated theirKindness!!!

The front worker is very polite, the techs and the doctor are all awesome greatest experience and myself and my daughter felt very comfortable.. you guys are doing an awesome job keep up the good work

Poor attitude across the board (except that one nurse who did the initial assessment in the exam room). Unreasonably long wait in the exam room. Honestly shocked by how highly rated this place is compared to my experience.

Emily & Bethany was helpful up at the front desk. Jennifer took me right back and took wonderful care of me. The doctor scott was Amazing. 10/10 recommend

I had such a great experience at this facility. I went in for my one year old, as a new mom, I was a blubbering fool 🤣. I was so nervous about my baby, they were patient and kind with me. They were very gentle with my son and took great care of him. They talked me through each step and really made me feel like my son was safe in their care. I HIGHLY recommend this facility. Best staff, nurses and doctors. They are a wonderful team.

I love this place. It’s convenient and has friendly staff. Although, there’s always that ONE to ruin the experience. There’s a receptionist at the front desk of today that wanted to refuse my care because of a $4 copay. I explained to her I was told by the doctor on Wednesday to return if my symptoms worsened or didn’t not get any better. Her words were “my manager told me to not bill anyone on Medicaid and we will not see you today.” They have sent me a bill in the mail for this $4 before. I explained again I’m returning from 2 days ago and I just paid that fee Wednesday. She was very rude to say “we’re refusing to see you, you will not be seen today here is my managers card.” There was a lady that was nice enough to pay my co pay! Thank you to the REAL hero!!!

Front deck staff was bubbly and welcoming … but Dr. Scott upon entering the exam room was very Dry… as if, he wasn’t all there … couldn’t figure out the Dryness as a doctor 👨‍⚕️

Its crucial for healthcare providers to heed patients experiences, especially when dealing with long-standing medical issues. Despite established protocols, listening to the patients history and what has proven effective for them is vital before suggesting any other alternative. Fortunately, the clinic had ran out of catheters that day, and they couldnt perform one of the worst treatments for drainage that I had previously received in other clinic, and blatantly rejected and stablished was a non-negotiable.From the outset of my visit, I advocated for antibiotics, a treatment I knew, and explained several times, worked for me. Despite initial reluctance, the practitioner relented. To my relief, that very night, the cyst ruptured, initiating the healing process.

Friendly staff. Took great care with me. Will recommend to anyone who needs urgent care.

My nurse, Destiny was fantastic! She made me feel so comfortable. I also have difficult veins to stick and she got my blood drawn with one poke

Very nice and excellent staff. Got there about 10 mins before they closed and ended up having to get 4 staples in my leg and had me in and out in 30 min. Great environment.

Always my go to urgent care for the whole family. Easily book an appointment and complete paperwork online. Then in and out at the facility. Everyone is always so nice.

First impression is everything lady at the front desk did not greet at all I’m not sure she is having a good day but idk …… ( Update the team made it better by the positive attitudes they had)

I will never go there again. They had me wait in the back room for 2 hours without notifying me the doctor had a “Emergency unexpected procedure”. Completely unacceptable to absolutely forget one of your patients.

They stayed on point with the appointment time, gave a quick diagnosis and treatment. Very professional and efficient!

My son was absolutely terrified of what was going to happen but the nurse and other staff was absolutely amazing and had him in and out. Doctors are overworked and don’t care about patients concerns because of that.Edit 03/24: visits have become more smooth and Dr. Odell has shown more concern about my situation. Willing to remove comment above if this continues as I progress through this situation.

The staff were amazing. I was quickly admitted because I sliced up my leg on a bike pedal. The nurses took excellent care of me and my wound. I was very impressed with how quickly the doctor came in and surveyed the damage I had done. The nurses cleaned up the wound with care, sympathy end efficiency. The doctor returned to numb the site and staple it back together. He explained everything he was doing. He also had a gentle touch. I was then bandaged and given care instructions. I highly recommend this urgent care facility and their staff. My family and I will only use this facility should we need urgent care in the future.

It was a little cold in the reception area just got told to scan and do the appointment on my phone. But when the nurse got me back it totally changed, very professional and she checked on me and kept apologizing for the wait and came in a couple times and very very friendly, and then the doctor came in and he was awesome easy to talk to very knowledgeable we discussed medication’s. We discussed any issues just very outgoing. I would go back to him anytime. Then you walked back out to the receptionist and it was like a freeze zone again. Got asked do you need something more. I was expecting my diagnosis and discharge papers but nothing. The receptionist could use some help with kindness even a smile goes a long way. But the nurse and doctor were awesome.

The entire staff was super helpful. Jennifer and Destanie were very diligent and speedy throughout our entire visit. The doctor was very good with my son as well!

The only problem that I had is that it is a waste of time to schedule an appointment if you’re not going to be seen until almost 2 hours later. I was also told that they alternate and go with appointment patient, then walk-in, then appointment again, then walk-in. My appointment was at 10 am and I did not see the doctor until 11:45/11:50 am for a 5 minute visit with the doctor. I understand that it’s Urgent Care (which there are a lot of great facilities, but there’s no need to set-up scheduled appointments if I can’t see the doctor until 2 hours later. Their need to be at least 2 or 3 doctors on site. The staff was wonderful, but the wait was ridiculous for my 2nd and 3rd follow-up appointments.

I went in for a respiratory illness. I made my appointment around midnight last night for 11:30 am. I got there at 11:15, went straight back, and was finished by 12:30. Really fast for an urgent care. The Drs, PAs, and assistants were all friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend NextCare urgent care to everyone.

I was in and out quickly and everyone was very friendly. It was a great experience.

My appointment was on Friday 2/23/24 @ 9:40am...I arrived at 9:30am. I didnt get called in until 10:15am despite having an appointment. The nurse taking my assessment (covid test) which was negative was OK...BUT the doctor Kevin ODell, MD.. didnt listen to my concerns when I discussed my symptoms. I specifically stressed to the Doctor Kevin Odell that I suffer from Bacterial Infections in my chest bronchitis.. coughing and chest tightness( all he wrote on my discharge papers was cough.. nothing about my chest tightness or bronchitis) I informed the doctor that I was always prescribed Azithromycin also known (Z-pak) his response to me is its over prescribed and prescribed me Benzonatate which I found out is just for cough, BUT didnt help with the Bacterial Infection. Needless to say that was Friday morning... Saturday & Sunday was horrible coughing up phlegm, dry coughing, sore throat. chest pressure and difficulty sleeping due to coughing all night. They need better, caring understanding doctors...Dr. Odell needs to retire hes not committed to hearing, understanding & healing his patients.Update: I thank God I called my primary doctor and described my symptoms. she sent r/x Azithromycin & Prednisone to the pharmacy..by Monday afternoon my Bacterial Bronchitis infection was under control.. no more chest pain..breathing much better. The same symptoms I told Dr. Odell.. who just prescribed medicine for a cough..

The office staff and the nurses were great. My interaction with Dr. Odell was less than satisfactory. The nurses attempted to draw blood twice and were unsuccessful. I have horrible veins and typically let nurses attempt twice and then I prefer to get my labs drawn at Labcorp. Dr. Odell decided he was going to attempt even though I said no. He held my arm tight while he was looking for a vein even though I repeatedly said no. I finally had to pull my arm away so he would stop. He left flustered, but later returned to try to smooth things over by saying he does difficult lab draws all the time in the ER. I will never step foot in here again.

All staff nurse, front office, and the doctor are very nice, and accomodating.

I had set up an appointment for 4:30pm online. My arrival time was 3:53pm to the facility at which time I went in and spoke with the receptionist. I understand having to wait until my appointment if needed, but I observed people that werent on the walk-in wait list show up after I was here and were taken back. I waited until about 5:05 before I was taken back and then had to wait another 30 minutes on the doctor. It took roughly about another 10 minutes or so to get my paperwork. Unless you have plenty of told to wait, I would look at other options. This 5 minute DOT physical took over an hour and 15 minutes past my scheduled appointment.

The doctor I saw was very nice and professional...He seemed to be very concerned about fixing and treating what illness and concerns that I had going on!!

I made an appointment and was called back in a timely manner. They did a couple of tests and then the doctor came in soon after. I was given my diagnosis and 2 prescriptions and was on my way home in about 1 hour. Everyone was very nice and professional from the check in desk and the medical personnel. Would recommend this facility.

In the past 2 years, care at this location has been terrible. Latest offense, my husband was checked in and told to wait in the car for his appointment time at 10:40am. He waited and hour and 10 mins past his appointment, only to be told that they cant bill his insurance, so he would have to billed for the entire visit. He was not seen and wasted his time. This place really needs to do better with their service.

My first time here. Makes no sense to make an appointment to be seen then have to wait so long to be seen. I see people coming out but NO ONE being called back! Looks like this will be the first and last time here for me. You need better staff to manage the office and appointments. Or maybe its a need for better doctors, not sure but will not be back!

At first was confused, didnt know to come in or to wait in car. One lady has a not so professional tone to her but all else was a good and quick service. Will return.

The nurse made my son feel so comfortable the wait wasn’t too long and even though it was at the end of the day, the dr was patient and I felt like he spent his time answering my questions.

They got in checked in and got my right back. Had a bad cut on my leg. They got me cleaned and sewed up. This was the 2nd time I have been there is year for cuts.

I scheduled a Lab appointment at 11am with an arrival time of 10:40am. I was called back at 11:40am just to sit till 1:15pm. I understand that service will not be speedy at a UC facility but that was quite ridiculous. Don’t get me wrong the staff is friendly but efficiency should be key in that type of work environment.

Update: my first visit was excellent. The provider was excellent. The second visit, not at all so. Proper medical care would have been to send me someplace else that DOES have a radiation tech available. He did not. Was it his ego, negligence, or related to money, I do not know. By the only LISTENED to my lungs; What he NEEDED was a CXR in addition to listening. What he HEARD was nothing, which was the same as what they heard at the ER the next day. What he would have SEEN, had he done the CXR, was pneumonia, which WAS clearly seen at the ER the next day. I know he does not have x-ray vision. Clearly, he does not.As well, what he gave me was tessalon pearls, due to his immense fear of drug seekers. What he clearly did NOT do is look me up in the national registry to see if I had any drug seeking behavior. Even if he did not want to give me the promethazine-codeine syrup (the drug of voice here), he could have at least given me promethazine-chlortrimeton, which does not have codeine. What he didnt even know is the all codeine products are on back-order and have been for months, with no end in sight yet. And there is only one pharmacy in know of that even orders that.The point here is that he took the wrong way out in each case.Since you dont know who youre going to get here, I would just go to one of the Atrium ERs (NOT one of the Caromont ERs, who are far worse). Atrium ER in Kings Mountain was thorough, timely, excellent!!!They were awesome! Kind, helpful, quick, thorough. Definitely recommend them. I was here once before and found the same. They are my health care provider for urgent care!

I made an appointment for 10:40 and did my paperwork online prior to coming to the office. One of the two receptionists checked me in and I proceeded to wait in the waiting room for 40 minutes, watching people that appeared to be arriving after me get called back. After this happened 3 times, I asked the second receptionist (a younger lady with dark hair) if I had been accidentally removed from the wait list and told her my name. She replied with a rude, quick No. I explained that the reason I was asking was because I had seen 3 people that arrived after me already get called back. She interrupted me, saying Um, no those people had appointments before you and were running behind! I would have appreciated the fact that they were running behind being communicated to me. I didnt mind waiting but its still nice to know why youre waiting so long. In addition, people were walking in, being checked in, and being called back within 2 minutes while I sat there for 40 minutes. If they had appointments before me (mine was at 10:40), why were they just then walking in and being checked in at 11:20? A few minutes after my conversation with the receptionist, a nurse called me back. The nurse was very kind and friendly. My blood pressure was up due to the encounter with the rude receptionist, and the nurse took my blood pressure 3 times just to make sure the machine was reading correctly. She tested me for the flu and covid, and communicated to me that I would wait several minutes on the results. I waited an hour and 15 minutes for the doctor to come in, but when she did come in she was very nice and professional. She explained my flu diagnosis and how to treat it. I allowed 2 stars on this review because of the kindness of the doctor and nurse, but the reception staff needs to learn to treat sick patients with patience, dignity, and respect and to communicate properly.

Was greeted upon entry.Nurse was really good with my grandson, friendly, caring, didnt rush him , polite.The Doctor was polite, kept us updated on tests, made Nolan feel comfortable.We had a great experience considering he was sick.

I did not get order for presc. That was supposed to be sent to Walgreens.Where was the breakdown. I am self medicating for positive test to covid. Too late now to start . Im disappointed in lack of thoroughness somewhere down the line....

The initial visit went well but when I called back to get my results of my x-rays I was shocked to be hung up on several times by Emily and hollered at and never did get my results.. Very unprofessional..I truly can not believe they allow someone to treat patients that way.. I have always recommended and also brought my family there when it was needed but I will never recommend or go there again

The nurse and doctor were so nice! This was the first doctors visit my child didn’t cry! So Dr. Scott was so calm and had a great demeanor about him! I would definitely come back to see this office and staff!

Dr. Kevin was nothing but rude when I asked for my pharmacy to be changed to pick up my prescription. The reason being it slightly inconvenienced him. He was nasty, mean, and the way he spoke to me was absolutely unprofessional. Despite the doctor himself, the rest of the staff is very kind.

Waiting time was minimal and all staff were professional and friendly.

I went in as a walk-in expecting to wait. However, I was in and out of there very quickly. They were thorough and friendly.

So nice to set my own appointment time via computer! Im very happy they were so nearby and open on Sunday!! Lovely intake nurse. The doctor took time to really listen to my complaints and concerns.

There nice but slow and go ahead and expect to be waiting for 2 hours, understaffed and treat everyone as if they have coronavirus. They need help on time management and more employees.

I dont know what has happened in the last couple of mo ths. But it has went down hill with front end staff. I can over look one bad experience but now two more back to back is to much. I made my autistic daughter a 345 appointment on Friday. Showed up and checked in at 3:06. It said possibly seen by 3:36. I was liknot expecting that but checked in and let front office know that we were in the car waiting. At 4pm we had not been called and I was going in till a lady was allowed to let her children bring their dog in now its not a service dog and I am an animal lover but my daughter is scared to death . So we co ti used to burn my gas to stay cool in the vmy vehicle till 430 and when I looked the line for appointments had not changed at all. I canceled it and scheduled a virtual visit and that went bad to worse.We signed in and were waiting for provider and my daughters house 20 minutes before appt. About 5 after my autistic child was begging to go.home. They sent me a message I missed my appointment. I messaged we were in waiting room virtually waiting. They had me sign in again. I was literally turning. Into a gas station to park when the provider clicked into meeting saw I was in a driver seat. Says I cant talk to you while your driving as I am parking and hangs up on us! I wouldnt dare try them again.

Absolutely wonderful care received! I had inhaled Chlorine gas and my inhalers were not working. I started getting worse and was close to this location. I was almost in panic mode. They did a great job getting me in fast and getting me a breathing treatment as well as a medications. Everyone that was there was great and very helpful.

I went to NextCare Urgent Care for the first time a few days ago. I gave them four stars because I rarely believe five stars are real reviews. But you can believe I only waited about 25 minutes to get seen. Once I got back to a room, I was quickly taken care of. I was in and out in about an hour. I even had an x-ray. My Rx was electronically sent to a near by pharmacy. I was home with in 2 hours of leaving home. The staff was also really nice. Dont go to the Emergency room. Just go here. You will pay a lot more and be waiting a lot longer.I highly recommend NextCare.

The staff was very friendly and funny. It was a very welcoming place and a great experience. Even though we bombarded them with physicals on almost no notice, they were very positive, helpful, and personable. They handled themselves with the highest quality of customer service and friendliness and never got short with any of us. The service was very fast given the circumstances. I would absolutely go back if I had to with no reservations or hesitation.

These are just good folks. You go to urgent care when youre feeling miserable or anxious about a health issue and having people who are thoughtful, patient, willing to take the time to answer all your questions makes a huge difference. The office is always clean, they are professional and courteous, knowledgeable and always on point.

Since I’m new to Gastonia North Carolina from Michigan since Halloween 2020, this urgent care has been the only one I have taken me and my family too. We have dealt with many health issues trying to adjust to the weather with her allergies with many other health issues and the staff is just great. So friendly, happy knowledgeable and will do anything to help you out as you may be in need of it (talking resources). Dr. Scott I have seen every time now as I don’t want to see different doctors I want the same Doctor Who knows what’s going on with me and he’s always been great. Very caring and very loyal and he knows what he’s talking about great place to go

The absolute worst experience I’ve ever had with a doctors office. Upon arrival I was asked my daughters weight, height and symptoms. They then asked me if I’d like for her to be tested (of course, why else would I be there?) She tested positive for the flu within the 48hr window to receive tamiflu, yet she was sent out of there with nothing but a doctors note. The receptionist acted if she couldn’t even speak to anyone attempting to check out. Her symptoms/cough continued to get worse so I called back the following day. I tried contacting the office for 12 hours starting at 8am. I was told “they were slammed”. I understand however don’t take on more than you can handle if you can’t provide decent service to your patients. Finally once I was in bed at 9:15 pm a provider finally called me back but left no VM. I will not return to this clinic again.

The staff was very attentive and the whole process was quick and easy considering it being Sunday at 9:30am. I didn’t make an appointment but suggest doing so. I waited 2.5 hours but you can leave and come back. They text you a link with how many people are in front of you. Someone called me in early although there were 25 patients in front of me. Over all great experience.

There is a.sign out front for you to scan to begin the checkout process. I checked in at 3:04 for a 3pm appt. It showed.me who was ahead of me and how many walkins after me.. My daughter and I waited til 3:34 until I got frustrated watching all of the people who arrived after me go inside and soon leave. I went inside and asked was I supposed to get a text message or call that my daughter would be next. The receptionist was surprised and stated she had no record of my daughter being checked in.. I showed her what the website showed me.. She again repeated herself unapologetic that we were waiting way past our appointment and checked my daughter in at that current time which meant we had to wait even longer because more patients had arrived. Once called I will say the Triage nurse and NP Alyssa were very nice and helpful. Even though we were told to go to the hospital.. Alyssa was really nice.

I absolutely love this urgent care, the staff is always so friendly. The wait time is never extremely long, they literally get you in and out while still doing their job throughly. They keep you safe(following covid guidelines). The staff will go above and beyond, and I really appreciate that. Not to mention the prices are reasonable.Thank again!!

The doctors and nurses were great with my wife

I walked in with my 6 year old at 7:30, thirty minutes before they were supposed to close. No one made me feel bad or guilty for coming in so late, and they were great with my daughter. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and professional, and we were walking out the door with a positive test for strep throat and a prescription in less than an hour. If we ever need urgent care services again, this will be the one we go to.

Had a visit for a foot issue, and I was able to get in within 5 minutes. Front desk staff were very friendly and so were the nurses. I was able to get an x-ray done and received good advice. The building looks a bit old from the outside and the interior could use a good overall, but they get the job done.

Wait was long.I checked in at the door with the QR code for my baby and myself. I also had my two toddlers with me.I filled out the paperwork online and waited in the car half an hour before finally going in on my own (in case they forgot me).I had called ahead and another branch answered and recommended I make an appointment (only two available and both during my childrens nap time) that way I would have priority over walk-ins.According to the online waiting list, everyone else before me was a walk-in and was taken in first.We were checked in to a room shortly afterward but then left in there for an hour.I was asked brief questions but the nurse confused my daughter and I and left irritated, thinking I hadn’t made an appointment.My middle child (who is also sick and teething… and ready for her nap) began to cry and I heard the nurses talking about her outside, insinuating I had a whiny child. The nurse who checked us in came over to shut our door.After the hour waiting (now 1:30pm) I asked how long it would take before getting seen.“We’ll be right with you,” they said, yet again.I sat holding my crying infant and now sleeping toddler in my arms. My oldest toddler quietly playing with his toy cars.5 minutes later the doctor came in. She was gentle and kind. I apologized for the crying, and she said it was okay, she had 5 children of her own.We were checked, prescribed medication and quickly on our way after that.

Its was on okay experience. The nurse was nice and polite. However I took my daughter is for a nasty cough and some ear pain, the dr only checked her ears, didnt even listen to her awful cough that sounds moist and instead said it was probably just drainage from her ear infection. Shes 14 months and has had a double ear infection not long ago and never has had a cough this bad. Only really took her because every other urgent care was full as well as her pediatrician. Probably would not take her back. Also the doctor put her name down wrong on the prescription slips and but a different medication on it that no pharmacy carries and would take days to order (antibiotics) after trying to find the number to call then going through what i suppose is corporate “chastity” i believe answered the phone and was understanding. She told me that the medicine was something else then whats written down and she would try to get someone to send it into the pharmacy for me. Checked this morning and sure enough its a dif medicine and they filled it! That and the nurse were about the only good experience.

I would really like to thank the staff that toook such good care of me today. I had an urgent need and they were kind and compassionate, and treated me in a timely fashion. Thank you very much!!!!!

This whole team is amazing. Came in with some chest injuries and I was taken well care of. Casey administered a shot and I didnt even feel it. She really deserves an award for that. The entire staff was so friendly. I highly reccomend.

We have cone to NextCare Urgent Care in Gastonia several times since moving to SC. The staff has consistently been professional and kind. Most of our visits have been walk-in, and the wait has not always been expedient especially during the height of covid, but I made an appointment yesterday for this morning, and they not only sent reminders but were exactly on time. What a great crew!

9:54 check in time. 10:14 to take my copay. 5 others went in front of me even though they were after me on the list. 11:07 no X-ray done yet and all you can hear is the front office women gossiping and no one cares about what I’m going through. It is very clear. She walked in and said it won’t take long for an X-ray and just now ordered it. I am in such disbelief.

Excellent! urgent care clinic. The staff is very professional & friendly, so are the doctors. They treated me very nice. Dr. Johnston seen me. He’s a wonderful doctor. He explained everything to me, he answered all of my questions & help me with all of my concerns. The wait time was only nine minutes to be called back & an hour to be seen completely, including having my prescriptions forwarded to my pharmacy. I definitely recommend them for any urgent care you or your family may need.

Tonight I was in quite a bit of pain, a situation which began about 6 days ago, which would get worse, but then let up a bit. I did not wish to spend 12 hours in an ER room, much less pay their prices. I have been to Nextcare Urgent Care maybe 4+ times over the last 6 years and ALWAYS received exceptional healthcare. However, tonight I wasn’t sure that my situation was an ailment they could handle or whether they would tell me to go to the hospital. Also, it was just past 7:30 pm so I wasn’t sure they would take a walk-in this late close to closing time. Thankfully I had nothing to worry about as they whisked me on back and checked me out pronto. Everyone was fantastic, friendly, professional and compassionate. The lady at the front asked was I okay with a female provider. When the pain is bad enough, nothing matters any more except how do I get the pain stopped. It seemed like a tough problem to me but the FNP took it all in stride and quickly prescribed the solution. She was knowledgeable and competent and that put me at ease. Thank you Nextcare for always being here and providing such excellent health services for Gaston County!

I took my son recently and he had a wide variety of symptoms ranging from flu symptoms to ear ache to chesty cough. They did a flu test and it was positive (the nurse was super friendly) the doctor came in told him he had the flu and wasn’t going to do anything else. I asked him to please check his ears before he left, sure enough he had a double ear infection.

Long wait if walk in but I have been there a few times and they are good. Only one open that long until 8. Doctors and staff are pleasant. I will use them again. I like them better than my doctor.

Virginia was so wonderful & welcoming. Definitely was a huge help & so loving. The nurse was very helpful as well & soft with her hands. The doctor was respectful & knowledgeable.

I would have to say they are good. Kelly is the front desk staff, she was wonderful. Answered all my questions and made me feel good. The back staff Adriana was great too. Checked everything my regular doctors nurse would have checked. The provider was FNP Spencer, she was also good. Checked everything and looked at my problem as my regular doctor would have. Listen and concerned with the problem. They excepted my insurance also. I would go back.

Took my 3 year old in for a high fever. The doctors and nurses were very nice and helpful. Very quick to respond to my questions and very informative. The receptionist was very nice and helpful as well.

We took my son there because he wasnt feeling well. We usually dont go here but had no choice do to everyone being booked. The staff and Dr. Was very rude to my husband. They also had to wait 2.5 hours just to be seen. My son had a double ear infection the Dr. Prescribed Amoxcillen. I told them Amoxcillen doesnt work for my son that we need a different prescription. The Dr. told his nurse that he will not send anything else in. I would not recommend anybody to Nextcare Urgent care.

Made an appointment online, and I was in and out of the office within 30 minutes of my appointment time. Although they didn’t have the machinery required to diagnose the issues I was having, they recommended a primary care doctor for me, and even called a couple of days later to see how I was feeling. Really friendly people and really great service. Highly recommend!

I’ve visited this UrgentCare for several years and they’ve always had such sweet nurses and physicians; however, there was usually always a wait. Once COVID started, this wait time has increased significantly. For my visit today to get some virus tests done lasted for over three hours… Though the wait time was incredibly long, that did not change the quality of care I received. If you ever need to visit, definitely prepare to take the day off.

Myself and my 3 children were seen for cough, sore throat, runny nose and fevers. We all were tested and treated for strep throat. I can not say enough how amazing the staff here is especially the nurse/assistant. She always goes out of her way to make us feel better she is very kind and respect and when thoughtful 🙏 would definitely recommend this urgent care to anyone weve been back many times and will go again when needed. In spite of a steady stream of clients and associated phone calls, the staff remained considerate and helpful. Having a reservation definitely shortened the wait time. The rapid test that I expected was not available, but with an appointment, I was promptly seen by the friendly staff.

I was sick with the flu and appreciated the fact that I didnt have to wait long! The nurses were very friendly and prompt as well as the PA that seen me! The only negative thing I could say is the receptionist could have been a little more friendly! I will definitely use them again if need be.

This urgent care definitely has their act together! I made an appointment on their web site...when I got there the parking lot and waiting room looked like I would be there for hours, but it only took about 15 minutes before they called me back! Today I was greeted/checked out by Kelley who was absolutely amazing and saved me a lot of money with the NextCare Medical Plan, I paid $161 vs $578! Clemmons,PA-C was very nice and quick with removing my metal splinter. I was surprised at how fast that went, even though I was late to my check-in appointment.. I was still seen quickly and wasnt even questioned about being late! Thankyou you all so much 👍Keep up the great work/service!

Extremely long wait but that is to be expected.. we are in covid, allergy and the start of flu season.. The staff was absolutely comforting, very informative and apologetic for the wait. But again the wait was understandable. I will go back if I am ever in need of their services again. Thank you to those awesome ladies in that facility.

I got to the urgent care 30 minutes before closing. I had a accident that required stitches and they gladly fixed me up even though I was there late. The care was great and everyone was very friendly and helpful.

This place is a joke. Never in my life have I been refused to be seen because I was there a few days ago. The medical assistant called me the day after I left urgent care to check on me. (That was nice) I informed her my symptoms have worsen and I feel awful. She told me to come in the next day, which I did. The front desk person was very rude and she didnt seem like she knew what she was suppose to be doing. She had put someone ahead of me that wasnt even there, yet. They had me sitting there for 45 minutes, before they told me they will NOT see me. I was very taken back by this. They had no intentions on seeing me. I asked why did you tell me over the phone to come in, if you knew you werent going to see me. Clearly you had to be looking at my chart in order to call me so you would have to know what was going on with me. I told the front desk lady I am willing to pay my co-pay I just want to be seen my symptoms were worse. The doctor was very rude, he tried to tell me different things from what the other doctor who originally saw me, told me. I honestly felt like he didnt want to do his job. He TRIED to argue with me about my symptoms as if he knew what was going on with my body elements. This place is a waste of time. Ive never been treated like this by any Physicians office, and if i could give them NO stars I sure would have. People youre better off going to the ER!!!

Very personable staff! Check in and out was easy. I will be returning, next time I’m under the weather. A couple days after seeing the physician, she personally phoned, left a voicemail to follow up and assure I was starting to feel better!!

I just moved here and dreaded having to go into an Urgent Care because of where I moved from and the experiences there but this UC was the best experience of any emergency visit. My daughter was up in the night with an earache. I could make an appt in the middle of the night and get seen first thing that morning. They are fast and very friendly. This is easier than getting an appt with our pediatrician!

Courtney that works front and back is so sweet and keeps things running fast and efficient. When shes wasnt working I waited for 2 hours and never got seen. Had to go back the next day and Courtney was working and had me in an out within 30 minutes! If it wasnt for her I would not go to that location just because the wait times are long and nobody else has there stuff together to keep wait times to a minimum. A mom with four kids it gets frustrating waiting long periods of time. Waiting times is golden when she is working! Go when Courtney is working you will be in an out with no problem!

Our primary residence is in Florida but we have had to spend a lot of time in NC since June. We have had to visit this NextCare location several times. We always receive exceptional care both from the nurses and the Dr’s, they care about us as individuals not just as a patient. I highly recommend that you choose them for your next urgent care visit, you won’t be sorry.
