CaroMont Womens Health - Summit

Ive been visiting the Summit location for some time and generally like the hospital and most of the staff. However, on Monday, I was devastated when they turned us away from our first ultrasound appointment. We had been eagerly anticipating this moment to see our baby and ensure everything was okay. Unfortunately, there was no prior communication from them, and when we arrived, they informed us their system was down and everything had to be done manually. Just as we were about to go in, the front desk manager told us our appointment had to be canceled due the system issue.It broke my heart. They reassured us that theyd prioritize rescheduling our appointment since this was our first ultrasound and it was crucial. But after leaving the hospital in tears, I waited for a rescheduling call that never came. The next day, they finally rescheduled us for the following week, explaining that due to other rescheduled appointments, this was the earliest they could fit us in. Even though they had promised we would be prioritized, it didn’t feel that way. It felt like they didnt fully grasp how important this moment was for us.I even asked if they could push a routine appointment back to accommodate us, as this was our first ultrasound. They said theyd bring it up with the manager, but I’ve heard nothing since. I’m heartbroken that we now have to wait another week to ensure our baby is healthy. I wish they had shown more empathy and followed through on their promises. What started as an exciting day ended in devastation.

Was seen here throughout my pregnancy. Most providers I saw were great, and staff was always pleasant. Dr Bott delivered my baby girl via c section due to some complications that arose during labor. She got my baby girl here safe and sound and was very kinda during my post op when she realized I was dealing with some baby blues and was very teary.The only complaint I have is it’s very hard to contact the office, no one ever answers the phone.

I met with midwife Jacqueline today and really enjoyed my visit. She was very informative. She talked to myself and my husband about what to expect over the next few weeks. She educated us about the upcoming anatomy scans, what they will look for, and what it means going forward. She even spoke to me about being at high risk for preeclampsia as an African American. I really appreciated the information and care she provided during my appointment. It felt, almost familial. She even asked my partner if he had any questions.

I just had my well woman visit (annual, pap smear, whatnot) to establish care as a new patient. I love Pamala, the midwife I saw! She is so sweet, gentle, very knowledgeable, and such a great, open communicator, sharing so many details and every step as things happened. I wish I had her when I was younger and first started having to have exams and was so nervous. Thanks to her MA Julia as well! What a great team! 😄 (I only wish Google had known to send me to the back/downstairs entrance. I was very confused finding the location, and it made me late for my appointment)

Absolutely wonderful experience at a time when anxiety and fear can take over. My doctor was amazing, very approachable and concerned about my problems. I didnt feel rushed with my care giver and that is very important with me. I would definitely recommend.

I had a wonderful experience here each visit during my pregnancy! Every staff member is so knowledgeable, professional, and kind! The facility itself, is very clean and relaxing. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone for prenatal care!!

Great practice. I have always received great care here. I have been going to Dr. Harris for a number of years and I only have positive things to say and both my daughters are patients here as well. They are very caring and make sure to give you exceptional care.

Dr. Harris was great and his staff was super friendly. I have yet to hear about the procedure we were looking into for me. I will call them soon.

Everyone is so lovely. I love getting in and getting out. Not only did they did that, but that DID THAT. Britany, was amazing. She was thorough, professional, and to the point. I love a health-care provider that feels friendly enough you can talk to and open up to but is very much professional and diligent! Ill be coming back and Brit will be my continued omgyn for the foreseeable future.

If ur ever privileged 2 hv an office visit, follow-up or referred 2 this Womens health facility n gastonia, ur at a place whr they take ur wellbeing seriously. Ive bn a patient of Dr. Kelvin Harris 4 several yrs now, u can believe ur n grt care. He nvr 4gets his patients, very professional, n is very accommodating no matter ur age n wht may concern u presently, past n if u become a new patient, he n his staff will make sure whtever questions u may hv, concerns n wht may come dwn the road, according 2 ur health history, family history or wht brought u n 2 c him n his staff. Even thru perilous times of the Pandemic we all became aware of, they took as many precautions as needed 2 insure ur safety as well as theirs. Grt location n plenty of rm n this facility n appearances. The only reason I didnt give it a 5 stars is bcauz sometimes they may 4get 2 give u a call whn tryn 2 reschedule an appointment. I actually tried that personally n was told that his schedule wasnt updated at the time n they wud definitely call me..guess I got lost n the nxt grp of women tryna get that call/callback. Other than that, still a gd reason 2 hv patience n a lil humor.

This practice should be sued for what they did to me and my unborn child during Covid. I was high risk, going in twice a week at 9 months pregnant and when I got Covid they REFUSED to see me. No backup plan. No separate location or special room. NO TREATMENT AT ALL. Just had to wait until I got a negative test...which never happened (this was pre-10 day restriction lift, but 3 months after the pandemic started). News flash - you cant pause pregnancies!! Make a PLAN as a clinic who deals with pregnant people. My OB/GYN (who I loved) has since left this practice, and after this experience, I see why a decent doctor would not want to associate with Caromont. What a way to treat your 9-month pregnant patients during a global pandemic who are scared out of their minds and then are left to fend for themselves. Needless to say, if I ever get over the trauma from this experience and decide to get pregnant again, I would rather drive HOURS to each appointment rather than go here.

I did not have to wait long to see the doctor. I felt comfortable during my exam. Dr. Lugue took time to explain what was going on with me after the exam.

Im a parent . My daughter has been there twice and both times they treated me like I was a villain. My daughter was extremely nervous and they didnt even want me in the room. My daughter is under age so of course I was going in the room , especially since my daughter wanted me thereVery rude , very dismissive. We wont be returning

Doctors and front staff are great but that one lady inside on the desk has bad attitude and whoever made changes to my schedule shouldve at least called and informed me. I was scheduled to see the doctor or midwife at 3:10 and have been waiting in the room for 30 mins. only to find out that they change the schedule to 3:55 without even informing me. I only knew when I got bored and went out to ask them. Like seriously, inform your patient if you are going to change the schedule! And I have seen by a different doctor/midwife not the one I was scheduled to.I would rather drive a little far next time to other locations like East Garrison or Belmont.Very disappointed!Edit: great! even your response to the reviews are copy paste.Never again to this place.

I’m extremely satisfied with the care I received. Dr. Harris was very professional. He thoroughly explained my care plan and cared about my health and my baby’s health.

Absolute nightmare going here. Had two back to back appointments scheduled with the initial ultrasound followed by a provider follow-up (scheduled appointments 2 weeks in advance).Arrived at 9:20am for a 9:30am appointment, Ultrasound was completed on time and returned to the waiting room at 9:40am. Follow-up was supposed to occur immediately afterward. Completely wasted our time telling us that the provider would be ready in the next 5 - 10 minutes. Provider didnt bother trying to see us until 11am, at which point we had to leave because our baby sitter was leaving at 11:30am. Told us we needed to reschedule the appointment in 2 weeks for a 10 minute visit.Dont bother going here, they dont know respect you or your time. Absolute clown show.

Its very nice very clean and the people are very polite the only thing is the waiting time when youre scheduled for an appointment at 4:00 and they dont get you too close to 5:00 thats thats a little problem for me anyways because I have a bad back and I understand that the doctors talk to the patients and the patients have questions thats about the only thing I just wish I could help him but I cant Im not a doctor so what I do is I just make another appointment while Im there and tell them you know this is too much Ill come back another day but the doctor is very nice and they should come out and say love the doctors behind schedule if you like to wait its so you know you can wait or if you want to reschedule then reschedule thats what they should do instead of having me sick

Ive never been to a doctors office who cancels a patients appointment and didnt bother informing them as to why or tried to reschedule. I showed up at my appointment to find out it was cancelled. I spoke to the front office lady and she had no idea as to why it was cancelled. I waited a few minutes and then sat with the nursing manager - her name is Rceaca. She apologized for not calling me when she cancelled my appointment and tried to reschedule me. She also told me that she would speak to the doctor to see if they were taking new patients, and to go over my previous results to see if I needed to come in earlier as she booked me for 01/2022. I waited for an entire week for her to call, and she never did. I called her instead and even left a voicemail and now sitting at 3 weeks and I havent heard from her. This is another level of unprofessionalism when someone is worried about their results and needs to see a doctor. I will not be coming back and do not recommend coming here.

This place is a disorganized nightmare. I gave Tracy Sawyer leave of absence forms that I desperately needed filled out. She received them Friday and told me I could pick them up Monday morning. She seems to have lost these papers that were imperative for me to receive pay while I was out of work with awful morning sickness. No one in the office seems to know whats going on aside from the not so quiet gossip I can hear.

I had a wonderful experience. Ms. Fernandez was professional and explained every step of my procedure which made me feel more relaxed and comfortable.

This place has the worst service i have ever experienced in my life. I am currently 14 weeks pregnant and cant hold any food down due to my really bad morning sickness because I have been trying to get my doctor to call in my medication for 5 days now. I have left messages, left voicemails, the staff has read my messages and gave no response, and my pharmacy has sent them prescription requests and nothing. Do not go here. Currently on my way to switch doctors.

I have very bad endometriosis and the Dr acts like she doesn’t have any empathy for me. Trying to get surgery scheduled and I can’t get a call back. You can’t see the pain I’m in, I can’t sleep, I’m nauseous and nothing has been done except two ultrasounds to tell me I have cysts on my ovaries and endo! I’m beyond fed up. Next I will call out provider names.The surgery scheduler did return my call and she was VERY nice.

Visit was on time, less than 5 minute wait. Staff welcomed me. Dr. Is wonderful.

Was completely stress-free and amazingly fast even though I arrived very early they took me in right away and I was examined and out of the office extremely fast

I had a great experience at CaroMont Women’s Health-Summit. Everyone that works there is genuinely kind and go out of their way to show they care.

I didn’t feel like the doctor had time to listen. I felt that she was rushing me. I didn’t have a great experience with her.

Dr Harris is very informative, professional and caring. Also follows up by phone and on MyChart.
